Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Julnome'aetia |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
This planet is named after the deity Julnome'aetia, the spirit of the sky.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Julnome'aetia's distance from XO-2 S is only about two-thirds (or 106 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.0011 bar, or roughly the pressure found 990 m under the oceans of Earth.
There are ongoing investigations assessing the past habitability potential of Julnome'aetia, as well as the possibility of extant life. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 10 meters. |
