Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Mepidpho Mir |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Mepidpho Mir is the fourth planet from WTS-2 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Tayum're, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, often, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
It is named after the deity Mepidpho Mir, the god of nature.
Mepidpho Mir is a hot gas giant and is sometimes called Earth's "brother planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to WTS-2, and bulk composition.
Mepidpho Mir can easily be seen from Tayum're with the naked eye, as can its yellowish coloring.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Mepidpho Mir after a lengthy trip.
Wind speeds can reach 113 metres per second. |
