Suggested name | Pornaiad'hichal |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Pornaiad'hichal, the creator of nature.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to @STARNAME, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 174 days.
Pornaiad'hichal is the site of Olympus Peak, the most active volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
Pornaiad'hichal has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Daedalus flyby missions and later by the Hotchins orbiter. |
