Suggested name | Nahyo Zeda'ku |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
In English, Nahyo Zeda'ku is often referred to as the "red planet" because the oxygen prevalent on its surface gives it a strange red appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
Nahyo Zeda'ku and Nupugu are large hot gas giants rich in ice. It is named after the deity Nahyo Zeda'ku, the bringer of chaos.
Two spacecraft have visited Nahyo Zeda'ku: Wayfinder 4 flew by 51 years ago; and Messenger, launched 26 years ago, orbited Nahyo Zeda'ku over 165 times in four years before exhausting its reactor and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 12 years later.
Nahyo Zeda'ku is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Nahyo Zeda'ku has been a major factor in native folklore for as long as records have existed.
The brutal oceans are inhabitated by harmless and primitive insects known as "Jusuko Kuryo". They survive while finding nourishment in plants at night. Most of them are closely related to Shize, have 7 tentacles and vary in length from 70 to 120 mm. Most Jusuko Kuryo are known to reproduce at temperatures from -60 to -40°C and even high atmospheric pressure. |
