Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Fumakyo |
Planet type | Small hot gas planet |
In English, Fumakyo is often referred to as the "white planet" because the carbon monoxide prevalent on its surface gives it a pale white appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
It is named after the deity Fumakyo, the creator of destruction.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 125°K (-148°C) at night to 560°K (287°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Shoha Myugo Se, Gekorebyo Shu, and WASP-84.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Racer, which entered into orbit around Fumakyo after a very expensive trip. |
