Suggested nameEngkyu Mei
Planet typeHot gas giant
This planet is named after the deity Engkyu Mei, the spirit of prosperity.

When viewed from Yaok, this proximity to WASP-65 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning. At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Yaok.

Two spacecraft have visited Engkyu Mei: Frontier 9 flew by 33 years ago; and Messenger, launched 14 years ago, orbited Engkyu Mei over 70 times in four years before exhausting its fuel and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 12 years later.

Engkyu Mei was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.

The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of methane ice.
