Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Pyahyo'bu |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Pyahyo'bu is the oldest planet known belonging to WASP-5 and one of the smallest in its solar system. When viewed from Nyopo Hezeyo, Pyahyo'bu can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. Pyahyo'bu is similar in composition to Nyopo Hezeyo, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger hot gas giants. It is named after the deity Pyahyo'bu, the spirit of fear.
Pyahyo'bu is a hot gas giant and is sometimes called Nyopo Hezeyo's "twin planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to WASP-5, and bulk composition.
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 195 kilometers across when Pyahyo'bu is closest because of Earth's atmosphere.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Pyahyo'bu approached its equinox 4 years ago. |
