Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gyaku Po |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Gyaku Po, the creator of dreams.
When viewed from Earth, this proximity to WASP-21 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
An observer on Gyaku Po would therefore see only one sunset every three years.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
Surrounding Gyaku Po is a thin planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
