Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Abekyo |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
It is named after the deity Abekyo, the messenger of fear.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Abekyo 2100 and ExoAbekyo rovers. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 12 meters.
In late February 1200, Abekyo was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Abekyo's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Shocho Mya.
In 1291, images from Wayfinder 9 showed Abekyo as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other hot gas giants. |
