Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Soshaga'bame |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Soshaga'bame is similar in composition to Topado, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger hot gas giants. It is named after the deity Soshaga'bame, the creator of good fortune.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.0023 bar, or roughly the pressure found 1035 m under the oceans of Topado. Soshaga'bame's surface is a barren desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Soshaga'bame are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
In November 1500, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Soshaga'bame.
Soshaga'bame can easily be seen from Topado with the naked eye, as can its orangeish coloring.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
