Suggested name | Byuga Teja |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Byuga Teja is the largest and innermost planet in its solar system.
This planet is named after the deity Byuga Teja, the demon of chaos.
When viewed from Pihekyo'kupi, this proximity to WASP-165 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Byuga Teja's hazardous precipitation.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Byuga Teja 3400 and ExoByuga Teja rovers.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Pihekyo'kupi, Nyogya, and WASP-165. Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 390 kilometers across when Byuga Teja is closest because of Pihekyo'kupi's atmosphere. |
