Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ochatemyo |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Rihyasha Kyu, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, sometimes, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
This planet is named after the deity Ochatemyo, the goddess of good fortune.
Ochatemyo is gravitationally locked with WASP-159 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Ochatemyo are likewise similar to those of Rihyasha Kyu, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. |
