Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nyuryu Tsugu |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Nyuryu Tsugu, the god of the underworld.
Nyuryu Tsugu's surface appears quite bruised and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
In 3376, images from Frontier 8 showed Nyuryu Tsugu as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other large hot gas giants. |
