Suggested name | Shipyo-yo |
Planet type | Small hot gas planet |
Shipyo-yo is the closest planet to WASP-127 and one of the smallest in its solar system. Shipyo-yo has been known to astronomers since the medieval. The planet is named after the deity Shipyo-yo, the messenger of the underworld.
Shipyo-yo's surface appears quite scarred and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Shipyo-yo is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
As one of the most prominent objects in the sky, Shipyo-yo has been a major fixture in native culture for as long as records have existed.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Muchochu, Nbaryu, and WASP-127.
Shipyo-yo is primarily composed of Li, with a significant part of its mass being CO,, though CO, comprises only about a tiny amount of the number of molecules. |
