Fictional info (?)
Suggested nameTsuryo Nyu
Planet typeHot gas giant
This planet is named after the deity Tsuryo Nyu, the god of the sky.

As seen from WASP-118, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.

Tsuryo Nyu is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.

Tsuryo Nyu is primarily composed of argon with a significant part of its mass being ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH), though ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) comprises only about a tiny amount of the number of molecules. A prominent result is the "great red spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first detected by scanner.

Tsuryo Nyu has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Isaac orbiter.
