Suggested name | Onemona-mab |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
This hot gas giant is named after the deity Onemona-mab, the demon of nature.
Onemona-mab's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 50 bar, or roughly the pressure found 765 m under the oceans of Ronraq Las.
Onemona-mab's dense atmosphere make observation of its surface challenging in ultraviolet light, and the first detailed maps did not emerge until the arrival of the Magellan orbiter 28 years ago.
Two of Onemona-mab's moons, Tecali and Porie, are are very irregularly shaped.
Onemona-mab has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Galileo orbiter. |
