Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Stekomip |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Stekomip, the demon of the sea.
An observer on Stekomip would therefore see only one winter every four years.
A prominent result is the "great blue spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first detected by scanner.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators.
Planet is populated by friendly stone-age oceanic creatures, the "Mastayede", which survive in the air while devouring a substance called "Calcli Ban" if they can. Most of them are similar to the Biansi'bos but have 3 arms and vary in length from 40 to 80 cm. They can survive temperatures from -50 to -40°C but are killed by near-vacuum. |
