| Osuwaba'yu and Gyamige are hot gas giants rich in rock. Osuwaba'yu's atmosphere is similar to Gyamige's in its primary composition of hydrogen peroxide and oxygen, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 28°K (-245°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with oxygen thought to make up the lowest clouds, and hydrogen peroxide the uppermost layer of clouds. The planet is named after the deity Osuwaba'yu, the creator of hate.
Osuwaba'yu is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. Osuwaba'yu's surface is a barren desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Osuwaba'yu has been a major influence in native folklore for as long as records have existed. |
