Suggested name | Wwacwuz Ou |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
Wwacwuz Ou is the fourth planet from TOI-2587 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system.
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 78°K (-195°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with hydrogen peroxide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) the uppermost layer of clouds. This planet is named after the deity Wwacwuz Ou, the spirit of chaos.
The polar regions are constantly below 135°K (-138°C).
In 3277, images from Wayfinder 4 showed Wwacwuz Ou as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other hot gas giants. |
