Suggested name | Ryobu Pi |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 80°K (-193°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with oxygen thought to make up the lowest clouds, and methane the uppermost layer of clouds. It is named after the deity Ryobu Pi, the creator of love and beauty.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Ryobu Pi after a lengthy ride.
The arid lakes are mostly crawling with friendly and advanced oceanic creatures, the "Hyokyugu'sho", that feed hidden in craters by devouring plants at night. Most of them are closely similar to the Gemyo but have 8 arms and vary in length from 60 to 110 cm. They are known to endure temperatures from -10 to 40°C but are killed by very low gravity which is common on this planet. |
