Suggested nameYout
Planet typeSmall hot gas planet
It is a small hot gas planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of TOI-1728, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. This small hot gas planet is named after the deity Yout, the demon of the underworld.

At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Yingmweng Ch.

Yout is gravitationally locked with TOI-1728 in a 5:4 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.

The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of water. In November 2700, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Yout.

Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Yingmweng Ch, Qwafyuanm, and TOI-1728.

Yout is primarily composed of carbonyl sulfide with a significant part of its mass being krypton, though krypton comprises only about a small fraction of the number of molecules.

In 3376, images from Frontier 9 showed Yout as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other small hot gas planets. Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Yout approached its equinox 4 years ago.
