Suggested name | Tarmehi |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Tarmehi is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Tarmehi is orbiting SW Sex every 13000 Earth days.
This cold planet is named after the deity Tarmehi, the goddess of good fortune.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to SW Sex, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 133 days.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Tarmehi's distance from SW Sex is only about two-thirds (or 96 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other cold planets, Tarmehi lacks a well-defined atmosphere. |
