Suggested name | Yityuan |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
Yityuan is the largest and innermost planet in its solar system.
This planet is named after the deity Yityuan, the goddess of the sky.
Yityuan is a huge cold gas giant and is sometimes called Earth's "twin planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to OY Car, and bulk composition. The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.3 bar, or roughly the pressure found 945 m under the oceans of Earth.
Yityuan was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
Yityuan has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Hawking orbiter. |
