Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gojohya |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Gojohya, the goddess of the sea.
At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Ipobyuse Mo.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Gojohya are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. Gojohya is the site of Olympus Montanus, the biggest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
In November 2100, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Gojohya.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Ipobyuse Mo, Zohero, and OGLE-2019-BLG-1053L.
Gojohya has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Isaac orbiter. |
