Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Tobix |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Cesuha, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, rarely, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
The planet is named after the deity Tobix, the god of hate.
Tobix is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Tobix are likewise similar to those of Cesuha, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
Surrounding Tobix is a irregular planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
