Suggested name | Deigete-nar |
Planet type | Large cold gas giant |
This large cold gas giant is named after the deity Deigete-nar, the demon of the sea.
As seen from OGLE-2012-BLG-0406L, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
As the closest planet to Episida'orix, Deigete-nar has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Deigete-nar approached its equinox 8 years ago. |
