Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Phaë-hivos |
Planet type | Huge hot gas giant |
When viewed from Tikebeb Kal, Phaë-hivos can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. The planet is named after the deity Phaë-hivos, the demon of the sky.
Phaë-hivos's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets. The polar regions are constantly below 108°K (-165°C).
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 16 meters.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Phaë-hivos approached its equinox 5 years ago. |
