Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Mega'thori |
Planet type | Large cold gas giant |
Mega'thori is the strangest and innermost planet in its solar system. In English, Mega'thori is often referred to as the "gray planet" because the nitric oxide prevalent on its surface gives it a dark gray appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
It is named after the deity Mega'thori, the goddess of chaos.
An observer on Mega'thori would therefore see only one winter every three years.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 6 meters. |
