Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Liape |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
This planet is named after the deity Liape, the creator of good fortune.
An observer on Liape would therefore see only one sunset every three years.
Liape's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 14 meters.
This scary place is dangerous because of the unpredictable but primordial bacteria that survive in the jungle by eating something called Masorix if they can. They are believed to be not related to Hemas but with 10 tentacles and vary in length from 70 to 90 mm. They are able to withstand temperatures from -80 to -50°C but are killed by high atmospheric pressure. |
