Suggested name | Ophedeuces |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
Ophedeuces is the fourth planet from LTT 3780 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. Orbiting within Theaede-sete's orbit, Ophedeuces is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from LTT 3780; its maximum angular distance from LTT 3780 (elongation) is 60 degrees.
It is named after the deity Ophedeuces, the creator of hate.
Ophedeuces was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
Ophedeuces is primarily composed of helium with a significant part of its mass being carbon monoxide, though carbon monoxide comprises only about a small amount of the number of molecules. Surrounding Ophedeuces is a irregular planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
