Fictional info (?)
Suggested nameHogomyu
Planet typeHot planet
The planet is named after the deity Hogomyu, the goddess of chaos.

The polar regions are constantly below 162°K (-111°C).

Hogomyu is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.

The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Hogomyu are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.

There are ongoing investigations assessing the future terraforming potential of Hogomyu, as well as the possibility of extant life. Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Hogomyu due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 7 percent of Earth's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods.

It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other hot planets, Hogomyu lacks a well-defined magnetic field.
