It is a small cold gas planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-87, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. The interior of Fumenu-za is mainly composed of ices and molten metal. This planet is named after the deity Fumenu-za, the messenger of war.
Fumenu-za is primarily composed of hydrogen deuteride (HD) with a significant part of its mass being hydrogen, though hydrogen comprises only about a tiny amount of the number of molecules. Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). Surrounding Fumenu-za is a vast planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Fumenu-za approached its equinox 9 years ago. |
