Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Rumeke |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Watsumyoe, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, rarely, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
Rumeke's atmosphere is similar to Watsumyoe's in its primary composition of ethane and carbon monoxide, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. This cold planet is named after the deity Rumeke, the goddess of the underworld.
Like some of the other cold planets, Rumeke has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons, Hinyabi Jaya being the least recognizable one. In 1787, images from Frontier 5 showed Rumeke as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other cold planets. |
