Maspemir is gravitationally locked with Kepler-843 in a 3:2 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
It may have had 2H2O oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other cold planets, Maspemir lacks a well-defined atmosphere.
In late February 2900, Maspemir was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Maspemir's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Puckaelassa. |
