Suggested name | Kyazu'eyasu Da |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Kyazu'eyasu Da, the messenger of nature.
Kyazu'eyasu Da's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets. Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 85°K (-188°C) at night to 1225°K (952°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
It is radically different from Earth in other respects.
Kyazu'eyasu Da was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 435 kilometers across when Kyazu'eyasu Da is closest because of Earth's atmosphere.
Kyazu'eyasu Da is primarily composed of argon with a significant part of its mass being ethane, though ethane comprises only about a limited fraction of the number of molecules. Surrounding Kyazu'eyasu Da is a thin planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
In late February 1000, Kyazu'eyasu Da was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Kyazu'eyasu Da's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Dasu. |
Atmosphere | Argon | 98% |
Ethane | 1.2% |
Atmospheric pressure | 2.9 bar |
