Suggested name | Naqka Iet |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This cold planet is named after the deity Naqka Iet, the god of good fortune.
Naqka Iet is gravitationally locked with Kepler-799 in a 3:2 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Naqka Iet's surface appears quite rippled and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Naqka Iet is a cold planet and is sometimes called Earth's "brother planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to Kepler-799, and bulk composition. It may have had carbon dioxide oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Naqka Iet approached its equinox 5 years ago.
The inhospitable surface is mostly inhabitated by unpredictable and terraformed carnivores known as "Ladyspsa Rhea". They spend their life in the forest by seeking a substance called "Hebian'pasiar" if it is available. Most Ladyspsa Rhea are not related to Dora-ede but have 8 arms and vary in length from 50 to 70 cm. Most Ladyspsa Rhea can survive temperatures from 20 to 110°C and ultra violet light which is common on Naqka iet. |
