Suggested nameMerukyu
Planet typeCold planet
Merukyu is similar in composition to Zoza-resho, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger cold planets. It is named after the deity Merukyu, the god of good fortune.

Two spacecraft have visited Merukyu: Daedalus 9 flew by 42 years ago; and Messenger, launched 26 years ago, orbited Merukyu over 60 times in four years before exhausting its reactor and crashing into the planet's surface 11 years later.

Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
