Suggested name | Jarnnix Rhea |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Jarnnix Rhea is the only habitable planet orbiting Kepler-748 and one of the smallest in its solar system. This cold planet is named after the deity Jarnnix Rhea, the goddess of the sea.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Jarnnix Rhea due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 5 percent of Perokal-rax's, except at the lowest elevations for short periods. The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in Earth's oceans.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. Surrounding Jarnnix Rhea is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
