Suggested nameSkoll
Planet typeCold planet
Skoll has been known to astronomers since the beginning of the space age. When viewed from Pasiejot, Skoll can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. Skoll's atmosphere is similar to Pasiejot's in its primary composition of ethane and neon, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. The planet is named after the deity Skoll, the messenger of prosperity.

As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Skoll has been a major influence in native folklore for as long as records have existed. Skoll was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.

There are ongoing investigations assessing the future terraforming potential of Skoll, as well as the possibility of extant life.
