Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yuher |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Its orbital period around Kepler-686 of 1.6 earth days is the longest of all the planets in its solar system.
It is named after the deity Yuher, the creator of hate.
Yuher is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 28 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Yuher due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 5 percent of Yang's, except at the lowest elevations for limited periods.
Yuher has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Daedalus flyby missions and later by the Hawking orbiter. |
