Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Phoeri Lalyke |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 30°K (-243°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with methane thought to make up the lowest clouds, and argon the uppermost layer of clouds. This cold planet is named after the deity Phoeri Lalyke, the spirit of good fortune.
An observer on Phoeri Lalyke would therefore see only one day every three years.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 135°K (-138°C) at night to 490°K (217°C) during the day across the equatorial regions. |
