Suggested name | Barakyu Ko |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Barakyu Ko is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Barakyu Ko is orbiting Kepler-616 every 90 Earth days. It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Shase Keha, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, often, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
Barakyu Ko and Shase Keha are cold planets rich in rock. The planet is named after the deity Barakyu Ko, the spirit of chaos.
Barakyu Ko was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Barakyu Ko due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 8 percent of Earth's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods. |
