Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Naiad |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Naiad is the fourth planet from Kepler-545 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. Naiad is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Naiad is orbiting Kepler-545 every 13 Earth days.
The planet is named after the deity Naiad, the spirit of the sea.
It may have had formaldehyde oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
In November 3200, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Naiad. |
