Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ireves |
Planet type | Cold planet |
When viewed from Rogup Ereri, Ireves can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. This planet is named after the deity Ireves, the creator of nature.
Two spacecraft have visited Ireves: Wayfinder 10 flew by 35 years ago; and Messenger, launched 8 years ago, orbited Ireves over 60 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's surface 11 years later.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
One of this planet's harsh moons is populated by small poisonous carnivores called the "Itesa Hiruse". They spend their life everywhere by eating something called Acotyj. Itesa Hiruse are closely related to the Ynub'ebyg'o and have 12 tentacles and vary in size from 24 to 54 meters. They are able to endure temperatures from 60 to 150°C and even intense weather which is common on Ireves. |
