Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Eunartungr |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Eunartungr, the spirit of prosperity.
Eunartungr's surface appears slightly cratered and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Eunartungr was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
As the closest planet to Hicuhilirr, Eunartungr has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Eunartungr due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 3 percent of Earth's, except at the highest elevations for short periods.
The Eunartungr system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. Wind speeds can reach 153 metres per second. |
