Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Lanaiad Id |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Its orbital period around Kepler-51 of 45 earth days is the shortest of all the planets in its solar system. It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Rheaao-cisco, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, often, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight. Orbiting within Rheaao-cisco's orbit, Lanaiad Id is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from Kepler-51; its maximum angular distance from Kepler-51 (elongation) is 24 degrees.
This planet is named after the deity Lanaiad Id, the demon of prosperity.
Lanaiad Id's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Lanaiad Id after a lengthy trip.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
