Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Eihyex |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Eihyex is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Eihyex is orbiting Kepler-505 every 28 Earth days.
This cold planet is named after the deity Eihyex, the demon of nature.
When viewed from Earth, this proximity to Kepler-505 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
Eihyex is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 631°K (358°C). It may have had water oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect. Eihyex's surface is a arid desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The Eihyex system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit.
This planet is said to have dangerous advanced bacteria that feed in lakes by seeking the Zwei. Most Chengk-yong are somewhat related to the Wyinz Waywen but have 12 tentacles and vary in size from 26 to 60 cm. The Chengk-yong are able to endure temperatures from -10 to 40°C and also stormy weather. |
