Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kely Per |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Kely Per and Culotar are cold planets rich in iron. This planet is named after the deity Kely Per, the bringer of prosperity.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of rock. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 15 meters.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other cold planets, Kely Per lacks a well-defined magnetic field.
The Kely Per system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
