Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yozh |
Planet type | Small cold gas planet |
Yozh's atmosphere is similar to Ouyyong'x's in its primary composition of methane and formaldehyde, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 33°K (-240°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with formaldehyde thought to make up the lowest clouds, and methane the uppermost layer of clouds. This planet is named after the deity Yozh, the bringer of the sky.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Yozh 1100 and ExoYozh rovers. The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of dust. |
