Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Pochomyu |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
It has the longest rotation period (445 days) of any planet in its solar system and rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.
Pochomyu is the closest planet to Kepler-381 and one of the oldest in its solar system. The interior of Pochomyu is mainly composed of ices and stone. It is named after the deity Pochomyu, the god of fear.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of dust. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 10 meters.
In 1589, images from Daedalus 6 showed Pochomyu as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other terrestrials.
This dark planet is dangerous because of the unpredictable and ultra advanced herbivores that survive by seeking anything they find if they can. Most of them are closely related to Himyane'ri and have 8 arms and vary in size from 33 to 59 cm. They are able to withstand temperatures from -30 to 10°C and also drought. |
